Long Live Roch : new episode(s) !

Loads of work recently, especially filming some extreme action sports !

My collaboration with Roch Maluit (wingsuiter in Chamonix) and EpicTV has given birth to some new episodes of Long Live Roch lately.

I interviewed Roch two times in Chamonix and used some great footage from his GoPros to produce this cool content. Below is one of our best episodes, filmed at Aiguille de l'M, above Chamonix.

In this episode, Roch jumps for the first time from Aiguille de l'M with fellow wingsuiter Matt Gerdes. Few weeks later, he comes back there to jump with Ellen Brennan, one of the best female winguisters in the world.

First (real) snowfalls in the Alps !

Snow has started to fall massively above 2000m this week. Last thursday was the last occasion to go running high in altitude.

As I had somme video gear to test on terrain, I asked Laurie to come with me for a trail-running photo/video shoot. We got perfect conditions with a thin snow cover , no wind and blue bird sky. Good times in the mountains :)

Enjoy the result !

Hiking photoshoot in Annecy

Thursday september 5th, I was on assignment for Annecy Tourist Office shooting hiking around Annecy. My brief : easy and accessible hiking visuals.

Annecy is a wonderful place for hiking, offering great views over its famous lakes.

For this photoshoot, I chose 3 different spots : Semnoz, Roc de Chère (above Talloires) and La Tournette. A good mix between alpine terrain and easy grass fields.

It was also a good occasion to shoot with Quechua bags (moutain branch of Decathlon), offered a few weeks ago by the brand !

Here is my selection of the best images of the day : enjoy !

Red Bull Elements 2013 in Annecy

On Saturday September 14th, I went to la Tournette (highest mountain above Annecy Lake) and shot a very specific event : the Red Bull Elements

Red Bull Elements is a tremendous and unique relay mixing rowing, trail-running, mountain biking and paragliding. It happens every year in september in a small village named Talloires. This year again, Kilian Jornet has been one of the main attractions.

To focus on the trail-running part, runners have to face a daunting 11km with 1900m of ascent, with some parts closer to climbing than running... !

The event gathers hundreds of sports enthusiasts  (250 competitors this year) and is clearly becoming one the great sport rendez-vous of the summer in France.

Here are my best shots from the day, hope you will enjoy it !
